There are many ways to get involved in our 190th anniversary celebrations, whether it’s by attending one of our special events, running an event of your own or reconnecting with your Alumni Network. This website will be regularly updated with the latest news, events and opportunities, so please visit us regularly.
Reconnect with your Alumni Network
As a graduate of the University of Central Lancashire (or one of our predecessor institutions: Lancashire Polytechnic, Preston Polytechnic, Harris College, The Harris Institute or the Institution for the Diffusion of Knowledge) you can enjoy lifetime membership of our Alumni Network, which entitles you to an exclusive range of benefits. Through your membership you can receive discounts on further courses and training, access to our Library facilities, special rates at the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre and professional careers support for life.
Through UCLanConnect you can also keep in touch with your old classmates and colleagues. There are also opportunities for you to provide mentoring and guidance to current students and recent graduates. Head over to our alumni website to find out more about the lifelong benefits you can take advantage of.
Run your own event
Why not organise your own 190th anniversary event to celebrate this milestone in our history?
Perhaps you’d like to organise a reunion of your former classmates. Let us know what you are planning and we may be able to provide some guidance and support. We can also help to promote your event through this website and our alumni networks. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have created a range of commemorative prints and postcards (available framed or unframed) to celebrate our 190th anniversary. The animated artwork features iconic buildings and locations which have played a major role in the University’s past and present. Sales of these products include a donation of up to 7.5% to the Harris Bursary Fund.
Please note: Prices for postage and packaging apply to UK mainland only. Other prices on application.
Share your stories
We’re looking for alumni, students and staff to tell us about their recollections of life at the University of Central Lancashire (and its founding institutions). Share your stories, memories, successes and photographs with us and we’ll publish them on this website for others to enjoy now and in the future. It will help us to build a rich, detailed history of our institution as we celebrate our 190th anniversary and look towards our 200th birthday in a decade’s time.
